Fragile Memory: Cooperation in times of crises

The essential role of archival and documentation practices for the arts seems undeniable, providing visibility for artistic expressions and understanding of cultural contexts. However, in times of financial cuts and political upheavals, archiving as practice in the arts becomes vulnerable. 


In the public format "Fragile memory: Cooperation in times of crisis" we discuss ways of archiving performing arts nowadays. How can we find new ways of collaborative archiving strategies? How can institutions and artists work together with researchers and the public to keep the memory of the performing arts alive?


This is an event by ENICPA - European Network of the Information Centres for Performing Arts, organised in cooperation with the International Theatre Institute Germany and the German Dance Association.
